2026 Acura ZDX is the first electric SUV developed in partnership with General Motors (GM) using its Ultium platform

They’re reliable and well-built vehicles which can be well-suited for daily driving and long trips. Overall, Acura vehicles offer plenty of value due to their price, with a good balance of performance, luxury, and advanced technology features.

Acura cut costs by eliminating CMBS, ACC, and IDS and replaced them with forwarding Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), redesigned front grille, integrated parking sensors, power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors, and new dark accents for the wheels. For 2013, in a last-ditch attempt, Acura sold the 2026 ZDX in only one trim level.

The RDX is a luxury compact SUV that offers a well-designed and high-quality cabin, a clean and responsive ride, and a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency. Acura also offers several SUV models, including the Acura RDX and the Acura MDX. The MDX is just a midsize luxury SUV that provides a spacious and comfortable interior, a smooth and refined ride, and an excellent balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

The Acura ZDX Type S model featured 16-way power-adjustable front seats with side bolsters and extendable thigh support. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were also standard. The ZDX came with standard Google Built-In, which operated through an 11.3-inch touchscreen and an 11-inch digital instrument cluster. ZDX  A-Spec will come with 12-way power-adjustable front seats with power lumbar support, standard heating, and ventilation. Inside, the cabin was noted to be tech-forward and spacious, with a few features exclusive to the high-performance Type S trim. The standard perforated Milano premium leather-trimmed seats were offered on all trims.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Acura ZDX a great five-star rating for its overall score and for side impact testing. The standard safety equipment for the  Acura ZDX includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, a multi-angle rearview camera, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints. The ZDX also received four stars in front crash and rollover testing. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it a Good rating for 2026 ZDX both seat safety and moderate overlap front crash safety.

An eight-speaker stereo with an in-dash six-CD changer, satellite radio, and a reliable audio jack is also standard. The 2010 Acura ZDX is just a midsize five-passenger crossover SUV. Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, automatic xenon headlights, heated outside mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, ambient cabin lighting, a copy camera with a rearview mirror display, a leather-wrapped multifunction tyre, dual-zone automatic climate control, an electrical tilt-and-telescoping steering column, heated eight-way power front seats, leather seat upholstery, and interior trim, a trip computer, Bluetooth and an electrical liftgate.

The Advance package includes these features plus electronically adjustable suspension dampers, a blind-spot warning system, adaptive cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats, and a sport steering wheel. The Technology package adds keyless ignition and entry, a navigation system with real-time traffic and weather, a multiview backup camera, and an upgraded Acura/ELS surround-sound stereo with a built-in 15-gigabyte hard drive. There are two significant options packages for the ZDX.

The ZDX debuted at the 2009 New York International Auto Show on April 8, 2009. The car was also the first to ever be completely designed at Acura’s southern California design studio in Torrance. The vehicle was originally scheduled to be called the Acura MSX. The Acura ZDX is really a mid-size luxury crossover SUV developed by Honda because of its upmarket brand Acura.

The automobile has been reported to be a “new amount of prestige for Acura.” It features Acura’s first six-speed automatic transmission, advanced ventilated seats, along with other luxury appointments. Even though the ZDX shares a similar profile with the Honda Crosstour, the two vehicles aren’t mechanically related: the latter is on the basis of the Honda Accord, while the ZDX is on the basis of the Honda Pilot/Acura MDX.

Acura Technology Package adds the Navigation System with voice recognition, an Acura/ELS Surround premium audio system and a new multi-view rear camera. Advance Package adds blind spot monitoring system, Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Integrated Dynamics System (IDS), which brought multiple modes of suspension firmness and response using electronically-controlled Magneto-Rheological shock absorbers.

Early adopters have reported issues, such as drivetrain failures and buggy infotainment systems, suggesting a potentially rushed first-year rollout. The A-Spec models have an 18-speaker system, whilst the Type S includes a 19-speaker system, and standard safety features.   All trims come standard with a Bang & Olufsen premium stereo system. Acura has plans to reintroduce the ZDX for the model year, expected to possess major changes, but will offer powerful electric performance, fast charging, and advanced tech features through its Google-based infotainment system.
